Stardew Valley

How to add mods?

  • ♡→ If you're on Steamdeck, go into desktop mode

  • ♡→ Download the latest verion of SMAPI and follow the steps to install it depending on your OS. Side notes: Steamdecks runs on Linux, to run SMAPI right click on the Linux version & run in Konsole. Copy the path file it prompts you before closing the installer.

  • ♡→ If you're on PC: Open Steam > go to Stardew Valley > right click to Properties & on general, add the path file as a command to run your game (if you don't do this no mods will run).

  • ♡→ Go to Steam > Stardew Valley > right click to Manage > Browse local game files > open the Mods folder & this is where you will paste the folders of the mods you download.

  • Make sure to read the install tips, config for each mods (usually to get a config file, you need to first run the game for the file to be created). Do not post your mods into multiple subfolders, they won't be detected.
